Affinity Electrical Technologies employs on average 40 staff which includes project managers, estimators, electricians, project administrators, drafters and accounting staff.
Our electrical staff also hold the following licences:
- Electrical Licences – ACT & NSW
- OHS Accrediations – either White Cards / Green Cards
- Senior First Aid • Krone Master Installers
- Austel Accreditations
- Defence Restricted Clearances
- AFP Clearances
- Coles Maintenance Certified
- Woolworths Maintenance Certified.
Our staff are also trained in OHS and Safety requirements including confined space training and working at heights clearances to ensure all work is completed with the highest safety standards.
Meet our Managers:
Brendan Read - Director
Brendan is the founder and developer of Affinity Electrical Technologies. Brendan has over 16 years industry experience which has given him extensive industry knowledge and the ability to produce creative solutions to electrical issues. Brendan has worked across similar contracts in the past and has provided services to clients for over 15 years.
Brendan has also been a leader in the recycling of lamps in the ACT for over 8 years.Steve Kemp - General Manager
Steve has been working within in the electrical industry for over 25 years. During this period he has obtained extensive knowledge of customer needs and the electrical industry. Prior to joining Affinity Electrical, Steve was employed as an electrical service manager within one of Australia’s largest national electrical companies. During this period he provided 24 hr 7 day emergency assistance to such customers as: SingTel Optus, Telstra, Vodafone, Department of Treasury, Department of Finance, Taxation, Stock lands, ABC, Broadcast Australia and Defence.
Rob Hanily - Project Manager
Rob has been working in the electrical industry for 12 years and has taken on the leading site supervisory role while still completing his electrical apprenticeship. Rob has spent the last 6 years working for Affinity Electrical, his first role being Affinity Electrical’s ANU site manager and then as the project manager for our major projects and install division. Rob’s extensive experience in the industry has allowed him to deal and liaise with clients and builders, always with the bigger picture in mind so that end products are turned out on time and under budget. Rob manages our civil and installation works, with attention to street and traffic lighting.
John Bruce - Team Manager
John has worked in the Electrical Industry for over 32 years. Before his role at Affinity Electrical, John spent 32 years as the managing director of Woodlands Industries, his own electrical company located in both Sydney and Shoalhaven. During this time John developed skills and knowledge across a variety of the electrical, instrumentation, data & communications industries. Johns clients included ADF, BHP, Mineco, Manildra Group, APPM, Multiplex, DMM and Lend Lease. John has 15 years experience with ADF contracts and tenders and has an excellent working knowledge of government protocols and procedures. John currently managers our building maintenance works for both government and private sectors.
